Workshops at Brazilian beaches

Coconut trees, sand dunes, many different kinds of colorful fish, cliffs, tropical fruit, clear sea water, natural pools: pure, living nature, even today. This is Brazil, one of the most friendly and hospitable countries of the world where words such as depression, sadness, lack of humor and cold temperatures are unknown. Imagine going jogging without stress along an almost uninhabited beach, between sand-dunes and coconut trees, in the bright sunlight with temperatures between 30 and 38 degrees, and with the feeling that all this is yours alone to enjoy!

And as if that were not enough, when the tide turns -- between 06.00 and 11.00 a.m. -- you can take a small raft out to sea in the search of pure nature, where colorful fish are swimming around you, as if they were playing with you, ready to eat the food you offer them.

In this paradise-like setting, we offer a workshop with Brazilian dances, Capoeira, Afro-Brazilian percussion, and also on the Portuguese language. The workshop lasts two weeks and the participants are taught by local teachers. The workshop includes lodging with breakfast, ship tours and visits to cultural sights.

Content:
Participants learn Brazilian dances like Samba, Baião, Forró, and Afoxé; Capoeira-Angola and Capoeira-Regional; Afro-Brazilian rhythms, like Samba, Samba de roda, Tambor Crioula, Maracatú, Afro-Samba, and Afoxé. In the language courses, the basics and the most important topics are taught so that participants can keep up a proper conversation.
